He’s just a soldier,
Doing his job, Fighting for freedom,
for everyone,
Machine guns loaded with Bayonets on, He prays he won’t have to shoot someone,

He joined the forces,
To defend our land,
So, the children can dream,
And live out their plans,
He stands as he lifts the flag as he holds down the fort,
His training taught him one thing,
There are no rules to war,

He always knew, what his future had,
He just wanted to be a hero like his dad,
One proud soldier,
With a job to do,
Defending the red white and blue,

He joined the forces to defend our land,
So, the children
Can dream and live out their plans,
He stands as he lifts the flag
As he holds down the fort, His training taught him one thing,
There are no rules to war,

He’s just a soldier, Doing his job
Fighting for freedom,
For everyone,
Machine guns loaded, With bayonets on,
He prays he won’t have to shoot someone,
