I did some research on the dead and burials in various different cultures to come up with my idea of the shrouded figures. Then spent a long time buying different kinds of figures from charity shops, trying to find the one that would best represent a dead body – I couldn’t find it.

I went to a trade fair at the NEC to look at more options and met some guys from Bestline who went away to source the correct figure for what I needed – slim, clear features, with the right amount of flexibility to take its own shape in a shroud and keep its shape.

They went away and found the right one for me – I purchased 500.
