An exhibit of 1,561 Shrouds, each with a cross marking the deaths on every day of the First World War has been laid out at the CWGC Thiepval Memorial in France. ‘Lost Lives’ is a simple but challenging installation, created with SSAFA Devon, which gives a graphic sense of the large numbers killed.
John Maguire from BBC Breakfast went out to see it with Shrouds artist Rob Heard
Lost Lives will be on display at Thiepval until 9 November. Read more about the exhibit here
